01

Air Port - Negombo

Arrival at the Colombo International Airport. Clients will be welcomed by AYUBOWAN TOURS & TRAVELS representative and transfer to Hotel at Negombo. In the evening, tour the city of Negombo, including the fishing village and fish-collecting points.

02

Negombo - Dambulla - Sigiriya

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya via Dambulla, It is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings. This paintings and statues are related to Lord Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of god and goddess. Evening relax in the Hotel.

03

Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya

After Breakfast climb the Rock fortress Sigiriya. Sigiriya (Lion’s rock) is an ancient rock fortress and palace built during the reign of King Kassapa I (AD 477 – 495). Contemporary with the paintings of Ajantha and Ellora Caves in India, highlights being the Frescoes, Mirror Wall and the Lion’s Paw,and it is one of the Seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. Then leave for Polonnaruwa and do a sightseeing tour in ancient city (11th Century AD), visit the many sites of archaeological and historical interest in the Sacred City including the Grate Statue, Quadrangle, Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya, Kumara and Lotus Ponds, Thiwanka Image House and even see one of the country’s largest water reservoirs – the magnificent Parakrama Samudraya.

04

Sigiriya - Nalanda - Matale - Kandy

After breakfast leave for Kandy via Nalanda and Matale. Then visit Gedige at Nalanda one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka, whilst enjoying the Spice garden at Matale and take part in a conducted tour to get some knowledge about the growth and use of spices in the day to day life. In the evening, visit the Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, which is the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka. It is renowned for its vastly diverse collection of almost 300 species of orchids, and over 500 varieties of spices and medicinal plants housed in the National Herbarium which is attached to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Conclude the evening by watching a cultural show with Kandyan Dancers and Drummers including a special act of fire walking.

05

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After Breakfast city tour of Kandy including Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha – by far the most important place of worship for Buddhists world over, Upper Lake drive a place where one could have a bird’s eye view of the city below. Then leave for Nuwara Eliya. On the way visit a Tea Factory and a Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of world-famous Ceylon tea, and to taste a pure un-blended cup of factory fresh tea. Also pass by eye-catching views with waterfalls. In the evening, go on a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, including Victoria Park, Gregory’s Lake and the 124-year old Golf Course, which is considered to be one of Asia’s finest Golf Clubs.

06

Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Yala

After breakfast leave for Yala. In the evening half day jeep safari to Yala National park, which is the second largest and most visited national park in the island. The park covers 979 square kilometers, The Park is best known for its variety of its wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, aquatic birds and leopards.

07

Yala - Hikkaduwa

After breakfast leave for Hikkaduwa via Galle. First visit Galle fort, Galle Fort was built first by the Portuguese and modified by the Dutch during the 17th century. Even today, after 400 years of existence, it looks new and polished with reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka, There is a Cultural Museum inside the Galle fort which is in a Dutch Colonial building.
